Fighting between warlords from southern Somalia left ten dead and dozens wounded. Fighters loyal to warlord Mohamed Omar Habeb fought members of the Mohamed Musa clan over control of a roadblock. A major source of income for warlords are roadblocks, which are used to collect fees from trucks that want to pass. This includes relief supplies.
