In Chechnya, rebel action left two soldiers dead. Meanwhile, the government admitted that it's military equipment was increasingly out of date (because very little new equipment has been bought in the last ten years.) Only three percent of the armed forces helicopters are of the latest type (in the US, over two thirds are) and some 60 percent are not in working order because of a lack of spare parts or maintenance technicians.
