The War on Terrorism has caused the demise of most foreign criticism of Russian fighting in Chechnya. But the corruption of Russian police troops in Chechnya is getting bad publicity, although in this case, the Russians are at least giving the appearance of cracking down on this behavior and prosecuting offenders.
