ELN rebels exploded a large bomb underground near a police station in a town in the north. Dozens of homes collapsed, killing three children and injuring at least three dozen people. A few hours later, the ELN declared it would stop peace negotiations with the government. The ELN demanded it's own autonomous zone 700 kilometers north of the capital. The government has refused, as a similar deal with the FARC has caused nothing but trouble (FARC uses their zone as a base for illegal operations.)
