The fighting continues in Chechnya, leaving several soldiers, and Chechen rebels, dead each day. To the Russians, this means that eventually the rebels will run out of people. As bloody minded as this sounds, it's how the Russians have put down Chechen rebels in the past. Kill enough of them, and the violence declines to "acceptable" levels.
