In northwestern Iran, the Kurdish majority in the area continue to riot. There have been several deaths among the civilians and police. The army has moved in reinforcements and instituted what appears to be martial law. The protests are against ethnic Iranian domination of the area (and Kurds in general.) The Kurds and Iranians are both Indo-European people, but the Kurds have long felt dominated, not befriended, by the Iranians.
