  While the current reform government got 80 percent of the vote in the last elections, opinion polls show only 66 percent want reform (the 14 percent apparently just wanted a kinder, gentler Islamic official running the government.) Only 23 percent want radical. But only 11 percent are happy with things the way they are. And 50 percent say religion and government should not be separated, although ten years ago, 70 percent said that. The religious conservatives see the trends, but are not willing to reform themselves to deal with it. 

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate is approaching 15 percent (latest reports are 14.8 percent.) The true jobless rate is thought to
