Iran reports that it has test fired unguided rockets and TOW missiles from a modified Augusta-Bell-206 Jet Ranger observation helicopter. The Army's 65th Special Forces Regiment said that most of the 40 Jet Rangers would now receive the upgrade kits to fire these weapons. Iran has also put a new four-seat light aircraft of its own design into service. This will find duty with paramilitary units such as border guards for routine patrols, carrying a pilot, radio operator, and two observers.--Stephen V Cole
