Five men burst into the Indian parliament complex in New Deli. Firing AK-47s and tossing grenades, the five were killed by security personnel, who lost seven of their own in the process. Kashmiri rebels say they were not involved in the attack on the Indian parliament. Pakistan and Bangladesh also strongly condemned the attack. On the Afghan border, Pakistani troops are guarding the only two passes through the mountains into Pakistan. It's possible to travel over the mountains, but this is always difficult, and with snow and ice now covering most of the peaks and ridges, such movement is quite dangerous.
