In Ghana, the government is trying to put a lid on accusations from police, who served in Kosovo for the UN, that kickbacks had to be paid to senior Ghanaian police officials in order to get the higher paying UN police jobs in Kosovo. Corruption among the UN police in Albania is common, especially since the Albanian gangs let it be known that the alternative was violence.
