In an attempt to defuse the warlord fighting in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif, the national government has sent in 300 policemen from Kabul. An earlier attempt to do this failed, when many of the 150 police joined the various factions in Mazar. This time, better trained cops were selected, and were told that favoring one faction or another was a major no-no.
