Launch Abort System Pathfinder at Langley Research Center on January 13
This test was in preparation for operations that will take place in February at the White Sands Missile Range. The LAS is designed to provide an escape mechanism for the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) should the worst happen to an Ares I rocket.
