Japan will proceed with development of the H-IIA-204 booster, which replaces the small solid rocket boosters of the H-IIA with more powerful types. This would allow the H-IIA-204 to loft 13,200-pound payloads into geostationary transfer orbits. (That payload figure would include the fuel and rocket engine to push the satellite to the higher geostationary orbit.
